Quiet fell over the room, which was neither full nor very loud to begin with, and the 2026 Florida Citrus Show began. “It should be a great day,” began the event’s first speaker. “Rain should hold off today, even though we definitely need more rain.” No one laughed. There was no need to say that things were bad. Everyone knew it. The mood wasn’t sour—citrus farmers could handle sour. It was something else. Postapocalyptic. Florida is in the midst of its worst drought in 25 years, but the dry spell actually ranked far down on the list of challenges these bedraggled growers were facing. In 2003, the mighty Florida orange industry produced 242 million boxes of fruit, with 90 pounds of oranges per box, most of which went on to become orange juice. Now, not even 25 years later, the United States Department of Agriculture was forecasting a pitiful 12 million boxes of oranges, the least in more than 100 years, the worst year since last. A decline of more than 95 percent.

It's just the timeline that pisses me off, people have fought for 30 years to get a DNC chair like Martin... It finally happens, literally right after it came out that all the media was covering for Biden's mental ability... And the same people who claim they never trusted billionaire owned media, thinks that despite them constantly moving to the right for decades, they suddenly are legitimately progressive and want the DNC to turn away from billionaires and Israel. People just honestly can't pick out propaganda when it agrees with their opinions. Even tho if you stop for just a split second and think about it, obviously the same right wing billionaires who covered from Biden are the same ones now claiming the DNC is hopeless. I feel like I'm Cassandra way too much this last decade

On April 19, 2026, Blue Origin made history. New Glenn lifted off for the third time but this wasn't just another launch. For the first time ever, a previously flown New Glenn booster was reused. The rocket that made it possible? The mighty BE-4 engine. The specs that make it insane: 7 BE-4 engines on the first stage Each generates 640,000 lbf of thrust Powered by liquid oxygen and liquefied natural gas Designed to be reused 25+ times 100% American made The BE-4 is Blue Origin's answer to SpaceX's Merlin engine and with NG-3's successful reuse, it just proved it's ready to compete. The era of reusable rockets is no longer SpaceX's alone.

The nation state does defense rather than offense with its regular military forces, but that isn't the only way to attack an opponent. I mean, Bin Laden couldn't sink an aircraft carrier. Yet, he still managed to attack America's homeland.

Korean prisoners of war in the 1950s were subjected to early MK-ULTRA experiments while in American custody, according to recently declassified CIA documents which confirm these experiments for the first time. The only reporting that previously referenced Koreans being used as guinea pigs for these experiments was journalist John Marks’s landmark 1979 book, The Search for the “Manchurian Candidate.” Using CIA documents, Marks traced the now-infamous MK-ULTRA project to its start, when it was known as Project Bluebird. In the book, Marks describes how, in October 1950, 25 unnamed North Korean POWs were chosen as the first test subjects to receive “advanced” interrogation techniques, with the overt goal of “controlling an individual to the point where he will do our bidding against his will and even against such fundamental laws of nature as self-preservation.” While MK-ULTRA is best known for its invasive experimentation — like LSD dosing and torture — the documents confirm Korean POWs were the unwitting subjects of less splashy attempts at mind control, like being subjected to polygraph tests, with plans for other invasive testing. The declassified documents, which the National Security Archive released between December 2024 and April 2025, are available through a special collection titled “CIA and the Behavioral Sciences: Mind Control, Drug Experiments and MK-ULTRA.” The National Security Archive website states that the collection “brings together more than 1,200 essential records on one of the most infamous and abusive programs in CIA history.”

72% of Republicans think the US is going in the right direction. They are not just shrugging, they are applauding. It is pretty clear at this point that almost nothing Trump could do would lose their support. How can the US ever work if Republican voters are so utterly detached from reality? It is likely a symptom of corrupt media.

Like what? Lego have been essentially unchanged for decades. They have to keep coming up with new kit ideas, but the fundamental building blocks have remained unchanged for decades, and they are simple to reproduce by the billions, and they are dirt cheap. And yet because of colorful pieces, good package design, and excellent marketing, they can sell a box of tiny dirt cheap plastic blocks for an eye-watering price. Yeah, they have to come up with the occasional weird piece now and then, but otherwise, the bulk of the upfront engineering and design was done decades ago. Lego is wildly profitable.
