Ted is likely positioning himself for another presidential run in 2028. Part of that involves making statements that are broadly popular. "The government shouldn't censor speech" is about the most non-controversial thing he could possibly say.

I've been doing my part to get rid of him and corny... And the others. The weirdest thing is that no one likes the person. The people who keep voting for him do it because he's still running as Republican and they can't force themselves to vote differently. Also they are usually racist
