Trump: Shooter at White House press dinner had multiple weapons, one officer shot

I find it disheartening how instantaneously people will run with a half baked conspiracy theory that at best is typically "somewhat possible".

Besides the fact that we should actually want evidence to believe something, trump doesn't really seem to think ahead, so yeah I don't think he's repeatedly staged his own assassination attempts.

Yeah, what would a guy who had a surge in popularity after a previous assassination attempt, think he could possibly get from another assassination attempt at a time when his poll numbers are not only historic low for him, but for the office of the presidency in general, with midterm elections coming up that have republicans predicted to lose big, probably to more aggressive leftists/liberals who will absolutely impeach him and 25th amendment him afterwards.

Such a mystery what he could gain from it and its convenient timing.
